Together In Awareness with Heartbeat Southampton.

Heartbeat is a regional charity established in 1992 who support babies,children and adults with congenital and cardiovascular disease, by supporting the work of the Wessex Cardiac unit at the University Hospital Southampton.This is achieved by providing specialised equipment, services and facilities to help patients and their relatives through their cardiac journey.

35% of the islands cardiac patients and relatives go to Southampton Hospital not realising that Heartbeat fundraise against pioneering projects to help improve heart health.The largest project that Heartbeat fund ,which benefits the Isle of Wight cardiac relatives most is Rotary Heartbeat House.The house is a safe haven, home from home atmospheric house where relatives can stay for as long as their loved one is in the cardiac unit.It’s no secret that the emotional impact of living with a heart problem is HUGE, so the importance of your friends and family being there during this time for support and love is MASSIVE.
